About

Mariah Faith Almond is an Austin-based interior designer and artist whose work is shaped by a love of spaces that feel personal, layered, and lived in. With more than a decade of experience spanning residential interiors, renovations, custom furniture, builder selections, and retail projects, she brings both practical knowledge and a distinct point of view to each project.

Drawing on interests in art, architecture, fashion, travel, and material history, Mariah is especially interested in the relationships between objects, materials, and the people who live with them. Originally from Newport, Rhode Island, and having spent time living in Washington, D.C., she brings an East Coast appreciation for historic architecture, well-made objects, and interiors collected over time, balanced by a relaxed, resourceful approach to design.

Mariah values character over perfection and believes the most compelling interiors are rarely created all at once, but gathered with care, instinct, and curiosity. Equally drawn to the patina of old things and the expressive possibilities of modern and contemporary art and design, she enjoys finding harmony in unexpected combinations and creating spaces that feel distinctly personal.

Alongside her interior design practice, Mariah paints and sources vintage furniture, clothing, and objects, each of which informs her eye for color, materials, composition, and contrast. She moved to Austin in 2015 to coach surfing and stayed because she loved the city and that unconventional path still reflects the way she works: open to discovery, attentive to what feels right, and always drawn to the interesting thing.
